For a going away party on June 24, 2005, I made this recipe, Chinese chicken
wings and
marinated mushrooms, all on the web site.
This recipe was there
for some time, but recently I made a few
modifications to improve it.

citrus marinated shrimp serves 8
1 lime 1 small onion, thinly sliced
3/4 cup water 1 orange, peeled, quartered and sliced
1 bay leaf 1 cloved minced garlic
1 lb. peeled shrimp 1 Tbsp Tabasco
3 Tbsp catsup 1 tsp, mustard seeds, crushed
1 Tbsp sugar 1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp celery seeds
Slice the lime in half, juice it and reserve the liquid. In medium saucepan, bring the water to
a boil, add the bay leaf, the lime halves and the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes, or until the
shrimp are pink. Discard the bay leaf and lime rind, drain the shrimp and refresh with cold
water. Mix the lime juice and the remaining ingredients and pour over shrimp. Mix, refrigerate
and let marinate for 24 hours. Serve as an appetizer or in a buffet.
