xxxa humorous, semi-biographical and instructive collection of healthy, easy
and delicious recipes that will delight you and make cooking more palatable

the evolution of a cookbook

Recipes For Joy In Life came out on November 18, 2011. It's available only as an ebook
at http://www.free-ebooks.net. First to appear - also the first book I had published was
The Read My Lips Cookbook: A Culinary Journey Of Memorable Meals, which
came out in November 2002. It wasn't long before the critics shouted its praise, as you can
see from the reviews that follow. The third, fourth and fifth short reviews are from the critics -
you can read their extended reviews below by clicking on full reviews below. I never paid off
these critics and have yet to meet them and the same applies to Monica, Tricia and Marie.
We know Monica can be trusted because of her name. The Read My Lips Cookbook
became out-of-print in May 2010 with the arrival of The Joy Of Life Cookbook. Sadly
that second edition - much the same as the first with a new cover, title, preface, ISBN and
the addition of chapter 9 - was unpublished in September 2011, thanks to corporate America
because of a dispute over the title I chose. Greed wins out again! The good news is that has
turned into a fine thing since now more people will know about Recipes For Joy In Life
.
All the reviews which follow apply to all three books since they're basically the same. You
can read excerpts below and read more about this book in some of my other books,
specifically I Don't Want To Be A Pirate, my journey as a writer.

It's my favorite! July 19, 2008 Karima Amin, Buffalo.
"I LOVE this cookbook! I've owned it for at least 2 years and I've gathered tons of information
from it and TOO, TOO MANY laughs! I remember, at first reading, I couldn't put it down. Since I
am a storyteller, I was immediately attracted to the author's humorous tales about kitchen
mishaps and dining disasters and successes. Since cooking is NOT my favorite thing to do,
I could appreciate Bob's inclusion of simple but tasty recipes and suggested timesavers.
Having been a public school teacher for 24 years, I could appreciate Bob's penchant for
educating and entertaining. This "culinary journey" is EDU-TAINMENT at its BEST!"

Enter Bob's Kitchen, August 5, 2008, Linda A. Lavid, Buffalo
"A guy who cooks? Yes and more. The recipes are uncomplicated with just enough spice
to make them interesting. Add a glass of wine along with his recollections of meals,
places, friends, and you got a terrific book. A keeper.

Thomas Fortenberry - Midwest Book Review - August 2003
"A very highly recommended addition to any kitchen cookbook collection."

Alice Holman - RAWSISTAZ Reviewers - 10/31/03

Kevin Tipple - Blue Iris Journal - 11/10/03
"Good and realistic and far different from the normal cookbook."

Finger Lickin' Good! Guy Ditursi, Buffalo, July 29, 2008
"Recipes 'mixed' with humor, Robert Swiatek presents a number of great culinary ideas in his
cookbook. His book is helpful in all cooking situations from everyday meals to dinner parties. I
thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and preparing many of his delicious recipes.

Fast and good !!!!!, August 8, 2008, Sal T., Thornwood, NY
"I'm not one who spends hours over the stove and as a result, found these
recipes to be quick, easy and very tasty. A valuable resource for those on the go!

In early 2005, I was on channel 17, a PBS
station in Buffalo, for the program WNED
COOKS: Q is for Quick and Easy. I had 7
minutes to make my chocolate mousse, a
recipe found in my cookbook. Those in the
studio, lucky enough to try it, raved and
thought they were in heaven. People in the
city of Buffalo believe in an afterlife! Hosts
from the show were fighting over the dessert.
I'm sure that all this activity sold quite a few
cookbooks - maybe even mine - and raised
money for the fund drive. Pasta dishes are
good, and so are crab-stuffed mushrooms.
However, that day mousse was king!

This web site has a new
