While in Sun City, Florida in January 2010, I made this dish. I
found a recipe and modified it somewhat. I think you'll like it.

pork stew xxxxxxx serves 4
3 boneless pork chops 2 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbsp flour 1 bay leaf
2 Tbsp olive oil 15 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 large onion, chopped 1 bottle beer
1 apple, cubed 2 Tbsp brown sugar
3 carrots, diced 1/2 tsp oregano
1 cup chicken broth freshly ground pepper
Cube the pork and dredge in the flour. In a heavy casserole dish over medium heat, brown
the pork in batches in oil, as necessary. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Lower ther heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Serve over cooked egg noodles or boiled rice.
