While in Sun City, Florida in January 2010,
I made this dish. I
found a recipe and modified it somewhat.
I think you'll like it.
| pork stew | xxxxxxx | serves 4 |
| x | ||
| 3 boneless pork chops | 2 cloves garlic, minced | |
| 3 Tbsp flour | 1 bay leaf | |
| 2 Tbsp olive oil | 15 oz. can diced tomatoes | |
| 1 large onion, chopped | 1 bottle beer | |
| 1 apple, cubed | 2 Tbsp brown sugar | |
| 3 carrots, diced | 1/2 tsp oregano | |
| 1 cup chicken broth | freshly ground pepper | |

| Cube the pork and dredge in the flour. In
a heavy casserole dish over medium
heat,
brown the pork in batches in oil, as necessary. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower ther heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Serve over cooked egg noodles or boiled rice. |
