| 6 apples, peeled and sliced | 1/2 cup sugar | |
| 1 tbsp. lemon juice | 1/2 cup flour | |
| 1 tsp. cinnamon | 1/4 cup chopped walnuts | |
| ¼ tsp. ground cloves | whipped cream | |
| 4 tbsp. butter | ||

| In an ovenproof casserole mix apple slices with lemon juice, cinnamon and cloves. | ||
| In a small bowl mix butter, sugar and flour to form a crumb topping. Mix in walnuts | ||
| and sprinkle over the apples. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 35 minutes or until apples | ||
| are tender. Serve with whipped cream, if desired. | ||
